Supporting Anoka High School student athletes for over 60 years.
The Anoka Athletic Alumni Club was founded in 1960 and has been involved with Anoka High School student-athletes ever since. The organization started as an opportunity to renew friendships with former teammates of Anoka High School.
The annual banquets included conversations with friends and teammates, a great meal, and a guest speaker who closed the event, leaving you with anticipation for next year’s banquet. In addition, over the years, the A Club has included scholarship awards to recognize the high standards of the Anoka High School student-athletes.
There have been nearly 100 scholarships awarded during this time. Staying true to the founders of the A Club, the Anoka High School student-athletes are the heart of this group. It does not matter what year you graduated. If you have earned an Anoka High School athletic letter, you can join us today.
A seven-member Board governs the A Club to provide future growth and longevity stability.
The Anoka Athletic Alumni Club was saddened with the passing of one of the original A Club members, Carl Youngquist.
Carl was a lifelong Anoka citizen, businessman, and Anoka Civic leader. Inducted into the Anoka High School Hall of Fame in the fall of 2016, Carl enjoyed promoting the Anoka Athletic Alumni Club.
Carl Youngquist passed on October 8, 2023. We will miss his leadership and love for the City of Anoka.
If you’re an Anoka graduate and earned an athletic letter, consider joining us today!
